Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.6
Lantern Hollow is slow in the way good adventures are. You wander a small town, talk to people who clearly have secrets, and slowly realize the streets reshuffle after dark. The sense of place is strong, helped by a hand-drawn art style and a quiet, excellent soundtrack.
Puzzles lean on observation rather than inventory juggling. We spent one evening just noting which shop signs changed, and that paid off perfectly later. Nothing here holds your hand, which some will love and some will find frustrating.
The story lands an ending that actually means something. It's short, maybe six hours, but it's six hours we won't forget. One of the most atmospheric mobile games we've played this year.
